The Ward Development Committee (WDC) of the Ogun State Council has congratulated Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, and the sons and daughters of the State on the historic celebration of the state's 50th Anniversary.
In a press statement e-signed by the State Chairman of the Committee, Alh. Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, the golden jubilee of the state's creation is a proud milestone that reflects five decades of resilience, progress, and purposeful leadership, built on a solid foundation of hope, rich cultural heritage, and a commitment to sound health and human development.
Asiwaju Wahab noted that the State has continued to stand tall as a beacon of innovation, peace, and grassroots-driven development, with its people remaining its greatest strength.
He enthused that his committee, the WDC, as a grassroots institution proudly aligns with the vision of an Ogun State where communities are empowered, health systems are strengthened, and citizens actively participate in governance and development.
"We commend the present administration for its unwavering commitment to people-centered policies, particularly in healthcare delivery, community engagement, and sustainable development", Asiwaju Wahab said.
He prayed that the coming years usher in greater unity, prosperity, good governance, and improved wellbeing for all citizens and residents of the state.
Asiwaju Wahab also prayed that the legacy of hope, culture, and sound health would continue to flourish across every ward, community, and local government areas of the Gateway State.
