As part of the activities marking its 50th Founding Day Anniversary and 26th Convocation Ceremony, the Governing Council and Management of the Federal College of Education Abeokuta will on Wednesday 10th February, 2026 honour Lion Chief (Dr) Sunday Babatunde Ajileye and seven other notable persons with the College Distinguished Awards.
The 2026 Awards and Cultural Day Ceremony which comes up in the COEASU Building from 3pm is the College's way of appreciating people who have positively imparted the College and the Society at Large.
Lion Chief (Dr) Sunday Babatunde Ajileye, MJF, NLCF, will join the likes of Chief (Dr) Shefiu Alao Adekunle, Pastor Israel Bode Olajumoke, Chief Rufus Ishola Onilogbo, Alhaji Musediq Akande Adeniji (Ike Anobi) and Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi in receiving awards for their services to humanity and the promotion of Education at large.
Ln. Sunday Ajileye is the CEO/Founder of SIB Charity Foundation, Julanky and Jularsem Companies and Waters Ltd. A distinguished Melvin Jones Fellow of Lions International , a philanthropist and supporter of the less privileged who has been supporting indigent students in furthering their education.
According to a release by the Director of Information of the college, Mr. Anthony Ogundipe, the award is a well thought of reward for this silent supporter of Education and a push to further encourage him to do more for humanity.
