The General Manager of the Corporation, ESV Wale Ojo, disclosed this during a meeting of the Board of Directors at the Corporation’s headquarters in Ibara, Abeokuta yesterday.
According to ESV Ojo, the Corporation had achieved significant milestones in fulfilling its mandate of increasing the availability of decent and affordable housing, as well as providing commercial and industrial buildings in a safe and sanitised environment with secured land tenure for the benefit of the people of Ogun State.
To mark the five decades of service and meaningful contributions to housing development in the State, the General Manager revealed that the golden jubilee celebration, tentatively scheduled for February 2026, would serve as a moment of reflection and thanksgiving to God for the journey so far.
Ojo expressed gratitude to the present administration for its unwavering support, which he said, had greatly enhanced the Corporation’s ability to deliver on its statutory responsibilities and advanced the State government’s agenda, particularly in the housing sector.
Highlighting some of the Corporation’s ongoing and proposed projects, Ojo mentioned the third phase of Prince Court (200 housing units), the BOFT Garden Joint Venture Development along the Old Abeokuta–Lagos Road, a new office complex at the Corporation’s headquarters and another major building project within the headquarters, revealing that the Igbeba Housing Project is nearing completion.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hon. Yemi Adelani, called for the collective efforts of all stakeholders to further enhance service delivery across the Corporation. He assured that the Board remained committed to prioritising staff welfare, maintaining open-door policies and removing unnecessary bureaucratic bottlenecks that could hinder operational efficiency.
