Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the immediate former governor of Ogun State said he's now awaiting the emergence of his candidate as the Victor in the just held gubernatorial election in the state.
Speaking to journalists after casting his votes at Ward 4, Unit 16, a polling boot in Itoko area of Abeokuta, the APC chieftain who is currently a serving senator from Ogun State Central Senatorial District, said he had done all he could do as a politician.
Senator Amosun stressed that he had worked very hard and was now only looking forward to the emergence of his candidate as the winner of the election.
It will be recalled that the APC senator campaigned very hard for Otunba Biyi Otegbeye, the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in the election.
An act which was widely condemned as anti party by his other co-members in the APC who felt that despite the differences between him and Governor Dapo Abiodun, he should not have been seen giving overt support to candidate from another party.
Otunba Biyi Otegbeye became the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC after loosing the primary election in APC for the gubernatorial seat.
Senator Otegbeye has however adjudged today's election as better than the previous one.
He said: "I think today's election is slightly better than the last edition. Last time, I waited for over two hours before I could vote."
Senator Amosun praised the election as seamless as the BVAS worked smoothly and the turnout was also excellent.
