Following the official announcement of the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima as APC's Bola Tinubu's running mate, many Christians especially the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and some top figures in the country have reportedly condemned the same-faith ticket.
However, one of those who recently aired his position on the Muslim-Muslim APC ticket is the Nigerian playwright, novelist, poet, and essayist, Wole Soyinka on Channels TV.
Journalist: What do you see about the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket?
According to Wole Soyinka from the video: "This is a very difficult question because it sort of turns one into a split personality. If you like, for one reason, there is always humanity; the human being is disposed towards who are rational to believe in actually reasoning things out.
"But let the record be set straight. I don't give a damn if the President, VP, Speaker, etc all come from the same place. What we need is simple, give us good governance. You can't have a normal society with bad governance".
